Anderson attains rank of Eagle Scout
JANESVILLE -- Nathan Anderson of Boy Scout Troop 405 at First Lutheran Church in Janesville will be honored for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout during a special court of honor Aug. 14. Eagle is the highest rank a scout can achieve and culminates with a community service project.
For his project, Anderson designed and supervised volunteers who planted new landscaping on the east side of First Lutheran Church. Anderson's goal was to create an area for outside church services and for taking pictures.
Anderson will be a senior this fall at Janesville Craig High School and is active in the Spanish Club, Spanish Honor Society, National Honor Society, Octagon Club and tennis. He also is active in his church and is a member of the Order of the Arrow. He is the son of Chris and Rebecca Anderson of Janesville. (From the Janesville Messenger, July 31, 2011.)
